Although the day hasn't been bright and sunny, it's been a fine one so far. It's currently 14C outside but tomorrow brings a 40% chance of showers and a high of only 10C. Still, not bad considering my neighbors to the south are currently having a nice little snowstorm for most of the weekend.
Here is a photo taken just minutes ago from my backyard. (Note: this is not my backyard, it's the field behind it... no one needs to see my tiny messy yard)
I'm not sure why the poor Calgarians are getting dumped a pile of big white stuff this weekend. I'm sure that it could be for any number of reasons.... none of which I am responsible for!!
Because I couldn't find any local suppliers, I have spent a ton of money on paper, shipping, and duties from American companies. You can't imagine my excitement when I finally found a Canadian vendor that offered large packages of individual colours instead of just the variety packs.
The Paper Place in Toronto is that company. I've spent countless hours on their website browsing through all their stunning chiyogami and origami paper. Not to mention, I've become quite addicted to their beautiful Unryu Tissue.
Their paper is awesome quality and is actually LESS EXPENSIVE than the American companies, there is no minimum order, and their shipping charges are fairly reasonable. As well, the website is in Canadian dollars... YEAH!!!!!
My husband jokes that The Paper Place is like online porn for me...lol.
This is the result of my newest custom order... The Autumn Teardrop Wedding Bouquet. It does have a matching Flower Girl Bouquet and boutonnieres. I was very pleased on how it turned out... Tiger Lilies and all :-)
So, we are once again in Sale mode!!
The Etsy Alberta Street Team is hosting another sale from October 3 - 9.
This time around, I have 2 shops participating in this venture: Lilies by Lisa and MoLStationery.
In all, 60 shops are participating in this event... meaning, there are a massive amount of savings to be made.
(Some shops have started their sales early)
So - browse the shops, make a list, and then go shopping!!!
